Personality: Brash, bold, outgoing, blunt, often a bit rude, and she never minces her words.
History: Ferrite grew up in one of the fringe groups in the Corus region. They are, in her own words, "hilariously backwards". Her particular tribe had very archaeic rules and was very patriarchal. Her tribe would've had Ferrite take the role of brood mare/food preparer/clothes maker, but Ferrite wouldn't have any of it. And once she got wind of her arranged marriage to a notorious slob and serial lech, she did the thing that seemed most logical at the time- run away. She wound up in Arcelor and joined the ailing battle academy there, quickly rising up the ranks and taking the position of Headmistress when Professor Ivory noticed her battle prowess and decided to make the guilds. The success of the guilds has led to Arcelor Battle Academy becoming quite well known indeed, and it is slowly being renovated to perfection.

- Ferrite has been Arcelor Headmistress for a year, and this will be her second.
- She relies on her second-in-command, Dalaigh, and the academy assistants a lot. No one really knows why she is in charge, given her inexperience.
- "Ferrite Colliery" isn't her birth name- it's one she picked herself when she enrolled. She doesn't hide this fact, but has yet to reveal her real name.

Companion: Prussian the Aron

Ferrite's secret weakness of adorable things led her to adopt a lost Aron puppy she found in the desert. This little guy is weak and shy and will most likely never make a good battler, but his perfected Puppy Eyes technique means Ferrite just can't get rid of him.

Blenheim the Lucario

This old, battle scarred Lucario is very quiet and speaks maybe once a or twice a month. Maybe. He is most often found meditating under one of Corus' few waterfalls, or busting his bones against the metal punching bags.

Iquique the Mienshao

Iquique can be summed up in one word; asshole. He is very mischievous and doesn't care for much outside of himself and his dashing good looks.

Austenite the Skarmory

Headstrong and fearless, this Skarmory would probably be a superhero in another life. He's very self-sacrificing and cares little about his own welfare.

Tithonian the Archeops

Sweet and silly, this Archeops is somehow able to be friends with practically everyone. Even Iquique. It's hard not to be charmed by her goofy ways. The rest of the team regard her like they would their mother.

Bainite the Aggron

Bainite is very much like Ferrite; she takes sass from no one, but dishes the sass out in hefty meassures. She is friendly overall, but her loud, competitive nature can land her on people's bad sides.

Spinifer the Rampardos

If Bainite is one half of Ferrite, Spinifer is the other; this dinosaur hates to lose. She refuses to throw a match, even if she is in real danger of being seriously hurt, and has been known to disobey orders and play dirty if it will secure her a win. She is quite short tempered and has a hard time making allies.
