Duality OCT- Cozamalotl

History: Cozamalotl, or "Coza" as he's been introducing himself to the locals with vocab issues, hails from a region far from Unova. He is reluctant to share the name or exact location of his home, but will waste no time in regaling its grandeur to anyone who will listen. Where he comes from, he says, everything is lined in the finest gold. Grand temples that soar past the treetops litter than landscape. Giant monoliths, carved in the image of various deities, stand watch over the people. So, people usually ask, why did he leave such a marvelous place?

Simply put, Coza got bored.

He was an acolyte, spending his days worshipping a deity the locals called Cozamalotl- a rainbow phoenix, of sorts. As one might guess, Coza was named after the deity, and practically had his acolyte career set at birth. He enjoyed the attention his name got, but one thing he didn't enjoy was the uncertainty of his religion. He spent his days interpreting the will of something that no one had seen in centuries, perhaps millennia. Maybe the phoenix didn't even exist. He didn't enjoy the prospect of hailing a god that might not even be there, one that wouldn't even reveal himself to him despite his complete devotion. And so, armed with only his local Ponyta and the clothes on his back, he left on the eve of his ascension to High Priesthood to see what else there was in the world.

Five years of constant travel has seen arrive at the Unova region with two new additions to his team. And it's about time, he thinks, that he settles down, at least for a little while. And of all places to settle down, he had to pick a place in the midst of a civil war. Typical.

Personality: Coza is, simply put, a little bit stupid. It's ambiguous as to whether he is actually dense or just acts foolish- he could be a lot more intelligent than he lets on. He is overly inquisitive, curious to a fault and has a penchant for unintentionally bugging people until they are annoyed with him. Overly friendly and generous, he a tendency to be a little bit self-sacrificing.

He is in a relationship with the Ranger bard Casper.

Pokemon

Patlani, male Ponyta*: This shining Ponyta has been with Coza since day one. His acolyte training days were often spent goofing off in the fields outside his golden city, playing with a blue-flamed foal. He's more like a guard dog than a horse- fiercely loyal and protective of his human.

Cuica, female Glaceon: As her name implies, Cuica likes to sing. Coza first found her as a kit in a region almost completely covered in snow, a region Coza was very quick to get out of. She very much has Coza wrapped around her paws, and is quite spoiled indeed. Despite this, she's quite friendly and affectionate with most people. Probably to get them to spoil her, too.

Motlatoa, male Electrike: This thing likes to run. A lot. Coza first spotted him chasing after lightning bolts during the worst storm the man had ever seen, fearlessly running into the lightning forks for fun. He is a thrillseeker, hyperactive and overly friendly to absolutely everyone.

Astrid, female Audino: After saving Coza from a wound that probably would've been fatal, Astrid has decided to accompany him on his journey to not get killed in the war and work his way back to Casper. She seems to have known him before now if her reaction to her finding him half-dead is any indication, but Coza doesn't recall meeting her. Hmmm...
